Too good to be true? No, too good to pass up.

Small edits to my google ads this week made all the difference. I did a lot of research on how to best create ads to appeal to consumers and I expected big answers and big changes to be made. The reality of it is, it’s simple. Thing to keep in mind when writing ads is to showcase your product. Don’t hide behind fluff, tell the reader exactly what they will see when they click into your site. During this week’s assignment I really found myself considering what I look for when I google search for a product or service. If it doesn’t catch my attention, I scroll past and on to one that does. If it seems too good to be true, I don’t even take the time to check it out. Having prices in ads definitely peaks my interest because I am either excited that it is affordable or wonder what the catch is; either way I check it out. Here’s to hoping for success!

Gotta Stay Relatable

When creating my list of keywords this week I thought to how I search for things and what kind of things I search for. The instances that I am searching for something are usually when I know what I am looking for or I have no clue. I know that my keywords need to cater to both kinds of searches. Keywords that are directly from my titles and products are a must for those who know exactly what they are looking for. On the other hand, descriptive and more broad words need to be used for those consumers who aren’t quite sure what they’re after; maybe they can’t remember the name or they are looking for options when it comes to healthy meals or exercises and they want to look through a bunch of sites. The best thing to keep in mind at this point is the consumers point of view. I am a consumer, how do I respond to ads? What kind of keywords would I use or what kind have I used before? If I keep my consumer hat on, I think I will find a lot more success in my product.

Ready, Set, We're Live!

This week I am feeling good about my website. I am really excited about creating it but I get so caught up in the details I feel like it will take me forever to complete it! I hope my business idea is something that can be successful. Earlier this week I took a poll on Instagram to see if people would pay for my service and over 70% of people said they would. I changed my mind on what I am basing my website on, hopefully it will come together quickly. I want to create a hub for all things fitness and within it, offer a service of creating a healthy grocery list within the customers set budget. My website will give options to purchase different packages for different family sizes, e-books on fitness, links to recipes and articles. If I can make this turn out how I am envisioning it in my head, it will be a really great website that people will find useful! I am trying to stick to things I love so that my passion shines through my product.

Push My Buttons

To say I feel like a coding geek is an understatement; I feel so smart right now guys, it isn’t even funny. I made a button, yes, a BUTTON. And it works! Can you believe it?? Yeah me neither. Okay so I actually had a different website make a button for me to put on my own website. But same diff, right? Fine so I am not a coding genius. It’s fun to be creating a website in real time. I didn’t realize how simple everything can really be. There are websites to help you create anything website related. I anticipated having to create everything by scratch, which would then turn into a mediocre-at-best-website. It feels good to be proud of what is coming together. I am nervous that my product won’t sell, I really hope it does. The dream is to suddenly have my homework assignment turn into a full-time income that brings me out of the lower class, straight into the heights of wealth…. Yeah okay not gonna happen. But a girl can dream right?
